The CrossFit Open has arrived! We are battling for the title of “Fittest at Unleashed” while simultaneously climbing the global leaderboard. Week 1 brought us a simple couplet of Dumbbell Snatches and Burpees over the dumbbell. The combination is a nasty taste of what’s to come over the course of these three weeks. Will the body weight ninjas be able to fend off the stronger athletes to start the open off strong? Let’s find out.
The dumbbell is a staple piece of equipment in all our programming. The dumbbell snatch variation has been featured in a workout 18 times since last years CrossFit Open. Despite this, only 69% of our athletes were able to do 24.1 as prescribed.

Let’s take a look at how Week 1 played out. Our top Male athlete was Nico with a score of 8 Minutes and 49 seconds and on the female side Allison with a time of 10 minutes and 57 seconds.
