Re-testing an old favorite
19.2 brought us back an old favorite 16.2 but with a twist. In 2016 athletes were given 4 minutes to complete 1 round of 25 toes to bar, 50 double unders and 15 squat cleans. With such a short time cap most athletes failed to complete a single round of the workout. This year we are given 8 minutes to complete 2 rounds of the workout, giving athletes a little more time to chip away.

Rx Female Athletes
Our top Male score was 260 reps by Victor (7 Squat Cleans in Round 3 at 225lbs) but it was our female athletes who took the best score in 19.2. Jess completed 262 reps (9 Squat Cleans in Round 3 at 145lbs).
PARTICIPATION
Our athletes stayed persistent this week, with only a 5{1940372cbfdcb8bf807c3b02a8561d6fffe36d3bf98756e2cd8b81c68f409023} drop off in participation from Week 1. This week saw a large influx of scaled with only 67{1940372cbfdcb8bf807c3b02a8561d6fffe36d3bf98756e2cd8b81c68f409023} of athletes performing the workout as prescribed compared to 95{1940372cbfdcb8bf807c3b02a8561d6fffe36d3bf98756e2cd8b81c68f409023} last week. Team black had more athletes complete the workout this week and the overall better Team photo for week 2, they received the participation points.

SPIRIT
Team Black showed up in force, dwarfing Team Grey in numbers but the spirit of Team Grey shined through. Team Grey came strong with the spirit in week 2. They caught wind of the social stories from Team Black and jumped on the bandwagon, but it was their theme of “Soccer Mom’s” that pulled them ahead for spirit points. In all honesty, I was completely swayed by the Capri sun and orange slices.
FITNESS CHALLENGE #2
Fitness Challenge 2 had our teams trying to accumulate as many situps as possible. Teams were given a few choices but with very bad guidance and no demonstration. Despite the poor rules they made due and put in some hard work. This week left everyone with some butt burns and washboard abs. Team Grey performed 19,014 situps but it was Team Black that won with a total of 19,095. Had Team Grey members submitted their scores before Midnight the points could have easily went to Team Grey… let that be a lesson to you.

Team Grey once again took the most podium points in week 2. With more athletes scaling this week, we saw an influx of podium points for the scaled divisions. Team Grey took 13 podium spots and Team black took 11 podium spots.

And The Winner Is…
Although Team Grey took the spirit points and more podium spots, but managed to be defeated once again in week 2. Team Black didn’t take the win, it was given to them by Team Grey’s mistakes, their failure to submit their fitness scores and their drop-off in participation cost them the win. Team black took week 2 with a score of 21 – 18. How will the leaderboard shake up next week with the release of 19.3?
